春妖本是看守忘川众妖的仙人，由于一次失误被贬成为了万妖之王。后来无奈只能带着倒霉的公主寒生一起踏上了一段寻觅宿书等旅途。在旅途中寒生意外，发现自己身上竟然就有宿书，可是正常来说，宿书只有妖怪才拥有，于是为了解开宿书之谜，他专心的跟着春妖一起经历了一个又一个让人始料未及的故事，并且在旅途中逐渐爱上了这个傲娇自大的万妖之王。旅途中他们看到了许多不同的感情故事，通过这些感情故事，也让他们明白了珍惜、付出、真诚等感情，并且也都逐渐爱上了对方。
