《白银谷》是根据自作家成一的小说改编的一部清朝剧情电影，由导演姚树华执导，主演包括郭富城、郝蕾、张铁林和杜江等。该电影于2009年8月21日在中国内地上映，获得了第29届夏威夷国际电影节最佳影片奖和第12届上海国际电影节评审团奖等多个奖项。

电影讲述了清末民初山西票号天成元的父子之间的传承和三角恋情。山西票号"天成元"在清代被誉为全国的金融巨头，它掌握着全国的金融业务，同时还经营存放款项。在鼎盛时期，它在中国各地以及俄罗斯、蒙古、日本和东南亚拥有二十三个分号，财富非常雄厚。电影的主线正是展现了"天成元"这个商业帝国两代之间的传承故事。除了父子之间的三角恋情，电影还借此传承的过程展现了中国两大思想体系——法家和儒家的理念之争。

影片通过展示绑匪横行、八国联军入侵、戊戌变法等历史事件的背景，凸显了"商人重义"这一晋商精神的特点，彰显出与其他商人不同的仁义精神。《白银谷》旨在展现晋商制度，弘扬晋商精神，并向全世界介绍横跨五百年的中、蒙、俄地区商业霸主的文化。电影描绘了一个山西票号的兴衰故事，由于清朝商业发达，晋商发明了汇票制度，以此替代危险的银运输，同时也经营存放款项，可以说是现代银行制度的前身。而他们劳方身股（即员工持股）的制度更是世界上的首创。由于山西票号掌控了当时的全国金融，甚至被称为"清朝的财政部"。而电影中描述的"天成元"票号拥有中国各地甚至远至俄罗斯、蒙古、日本和东南亚的二十三个分号。

"Silver Empire" is a drama film released in mainland China in 2009, starring Aaron Kwok, Hao Lei, Zhang Tielin and Starring Jennifer Tilly and directed by Yao Shuhua. Set against the background of China's silver mining industry in the early 20th century, the film tells the story of a time full of challenges and disputes.

The story takes place in a remote silver mining area during the Republic of China. Yang Yufu played by Aaron Kwok is An ordinary silver miner, he works hard in a difficult environment, hoping to change his destiny through hard work and honesty. However, he was drawn into a complicated power struggle.

Yang Yufu’s firmness and integrity have attracted the attention of those in power in the silver mining industry. Attempts to exploit his abilities and knowledge for his own self-interest. Facing the temptation of power and money, Yang Yufu fell into the test of morality and humanity. At the same time, a deep relationship gradually developed between him and Huang Xiuying, a female worker played by Hao Lei, and they faced the difficulties and challenges of life together.

"Silver Empire" reveals the rise and fall of the silver mining industry and the exploration of human nature. Conflicts between social classes and people's choices in complex environments. Through exquisite photography and set design, the film reproduces the real scene of that era. The art and costume design are meticulous, presenting a strong historical atmosphere to the audience.
