Elizabeth Benton is a young woman who embarks on a research project in human praxeology. She chose an online chat software called the DEN as her research object, and hoped to understand their online habits and interests by communicating with netizens from all over the world. However, she soon discovered another side of the virtual network, a space that allows people to release their ego and desires

On the DEN, people can show their truest, wittiest, even ugliest and sinful side. The camera provides them with avenues to satisfy their voyeuristic and cathartic desires. Elizabeth browses the online world and communicates with various people, but in an accidental chat, she witnesses a scene where a girl with a still head portrait is brutally murdered.

Elizabeth was frightened by this scene and rushed to call the police, but the police were noncommittal. Her boyfriend Damian dismissed her concerns, believing the video was faked. However, things didn't end there. One day, Damian suddenly disappeared, and Elizabeth's friends were also involved in a series of horrible incidents.
