故事的主人公出生在英国的一个泥瓦匠家里，他从小膝盖有伤，小的时候需要靠着支架行走，但是他一直有着奥运梦想。他练习过标枪/铅球等多个项目，他没有目标，只想站在奥运会赛场上，经过多种磨难，他最终决定瞄准跳台滑雪这个项目，他来到了德国滑雪场。在这里他见到了世界第一飞人，也遇到了自己后来的教练，他面临着去加拿大奥运会还是继续学习的选择。他最终去了奥运会，在70米的跳台比赛中他名次倒数但是却创造了记录，接下来他又创造了90米的英国记录。

The protagonist of the story was born in a mason’s family in England. He had a knee injury when he was young and needed to walk on a brace when he was young, but He has always had Olympic dreams. After many hardships, he finally decided to aim at the ski jumping event, and he came to the German ski resort. Here he met the world's No. 1 flying man, and also met his later coach. He ended up going to the Olympics, finishing last but setting a record in the 70m platform, followed by a British record in the 90m.
