阿嘉是一个有音乐梦想的年轻人，在台北收到打击回乡做起了邮差带班。他看着乱堆在房间里面的无法送达的邮件，没有按照老邮差的话退回，而是私自打开发现了一个凄美的爱情故事。60年前日本战败，在台的日籍教师也因此遗弃了相约私奔的女友，回到日本后他将爱意和悔意写下让女儿在死后寄出

友子是一个在台的日本女孩，她虽然有模特的梦想但是因为形象的原因只能做歌手中孝介的公馆。中孝介受邀来到恒春沙滩酒店演出，需要有乐团暖场，因为当地人的坚持用本地乐团，友子只好找到几个音乐爱好者组建一个破铜烂铁的乐队。几人除了阿嘉之外都没有表演经验，因为个性的差异总是出现矛盾，把友子气的火冒三丈，两人却在摩擦中产生爱情的火花。阿嘉因为友子的鼓励重新追求音乐梦想，接到了日本唱片公司的工作邀约。

Because the locals insisted on using a local orchestra, Tomoko had no choice but to find a few music lovers to form a scrappy band.
