本片上映于2007年，是一部历史战争片。导演冯小刚，主演张涵予、邓超、袁文康、汤嬿、廖凡。故事发生于1948年解放战争期间。九连连长谷子地接到在汶河岸执行掩护大部队撤退的任务，于是他与团长刘泽水约定以集结号作为撤退的号令，当集结号吹响时，要立刻撤退。战争开始了，谷子地带领47名战士奋勇杀敌，但还是由于敌人数量过多而逐渐被打败。排长焦大鹏在临时前说自己听到了集结号声，想让谷子地带着剩下的人撤退，但谷子地并没有听到，于是死守阵地，最终除了谷子地其余人全部阵亡。受伤的谷子地被救起，在医院中醒来后得知自己原来的队伍改了编号，自己无法找到组织，其他47位牺牲的战士也被认定为失踪。于是他踏上了寻找遗迹的艰难道路，想为自己找回身份，也为死去的47人找回属于他们的荣誉
