"Beautiful 2008" is a Korean movie directed by Jun Jae Hong, starring Cha Soo Yeon and Lee Chun Hee, released on February 14, 2008 in Released in South Korea

The film focuses on the story of a beautiful but unhappy woman, Eun Young (played by Cha Soo Yeon). She has a charming appearance, but she is in an unfortunate situation. The people around coveted her beauty, and some of the same sex were even hostile to her because of jealousy. One day, Enying was raped by an admirer, which gave her a huge blow to her heart. What made her even more desperate was that the perpetrator attacked her on the grounds of her beauty. An overstimulated Eun-young begins to believe that her beauty is the source of her unhappiness. So she cursed all her misfortune, and set out on a terrible path of self-destruction. At the same time, En Zhe (Lee Chun Hee), a man who has been silently following En Ying, also began to appear in her life.

"Beauty" explores in depth the impact and challenges of beauty on individual lives. The film shows the process of Eun Young gradually losing herself under appearance anxiety and social pressure, as well as the subtle interaction between her and Eun Zhe. The story triggers the audience's thinking about appearance, social expectations and personal happiness, and brings in-depth exploration of beauty and inner value.
