故事从号称可以一个人单挑整个魔界的道仙这里说起，由于仙魔百年大战即将到来，为了不再被仙界压着打，魔尊就在道仙妻子的腹中种下魔胎，并将其立为魔界代表，到时候仙魔大战变成兄弟相残、伦常败坏，魔界就可以不战而胜，就在魔尊想要将刚出生的魔胎阿月带走的时候，被道仙发现，两人一场生死大战，道仙最终因为被魔尊暗算而重伤身亡，但魔尊也被道仙封印到八卦镜中无法脱身，而在神奇婆婆收养下的阿日和阿月练就一身武功，两人游山玩水、闯荡江湖，直至后来月童发现自己原来是天魔之子，遂与维护正义的阿日反目成仇、连番大战，日与月本就是典型的正邪之论，整部剧也是围绕着“阿日”与“阿月”对称形式来展开的，当然最终结局也离不开“邪不压正”这一主题
