《三剑客》是一个虚构的历史故事，在真实的历史中并找不到这几个人。大背景基本上是以重新时代为主。故事的主角是昭显世子和他的贴身侍卫安民瑞和许胜浦三人，他们嫉恶如仇，最喜欢路见不平拔刀相助，做事光明磊落，很得大家的称赞，还有一个人也是主角团里的，那就是江原道的两班贵族，他们虽然是贵族出身，但是家道中落，到他们那一代的时候已经异常贫困，为了不再那么贫穷，他们找了很多办法来改变自己，可是都没有成功。他们因为不满世道的不公平，想要通过考试高中来治理国家而很多次都不能中举，于是和当朝的奸臣汉阳武科发起了挑战，誓要决一高下。这三人被大家叫做三剑客，在清国和朝鲜都很活跃，也干出来了一番惊天动地的大事业
