影片的开头，两个山寨中的孩子看到了一辆解放军的卡车，并且通过交流中他们知道了关于城市中的一些生活的美景和动态，这也瞬间点燃了两个孩子，对于大城市的憧憬，他们决定要翻过大山，去美丽的城市之中看一看，自此开始两个孩子进入到了神奇的旅程之中，不仅在旅程中两个孩子冒充大领导的孩子，混进寨子中大吃大喝，还在路途之中遇到了自己崇拜的偶像，在深入森林的时候误入山洞，黑暗并没有吓退两个孩子，他们顺利逃脱并结识了美丽的女子晓娅。三个人再次踏上了进入城市的征途，并在城市中，他们看到了真正的城市生活，而且发生了很多更加深邃的剧情。
