Adapted from the short children's horror stories, the film tells the story of a group of teenagers who came to a cursed old house on Halloween 1968 and took a book of horror stories, leading to a series of horrific events

The story of the film takes place in a small town in Pennsylvania. The protagonist Stella and her two friends, Augie and Chuck, make detonated a bomb and dropped it on the car of school bully Tommy. But after Tommy found out, he chased after Stella and others. Fortunately, Raymond appeared to help them at a critical moment. Stella and her friends head to the haunted house, once occupied by the Barus family, but also a mysterious girl named Sarah who lived here, tortured by her family, and wrote her tragic life into a book . Stella stumbled across the book and took it for herself. But later she discovered that the contents of the book can actually become reality, and she can also create her own stories.
